Witness and Suspect Representation

At Nolan Barton Olmos & Luciano, we also represent people who are not the defendant in a current case.  We work with people who are concerned they are being investigated or might be charged with a crime in the future, especially in the white collar context.  We also represent crime victims and others who have knowledge about a crime.

Most commonly, witnesses benefit from representation in the context of federal investigations, federal grand jury subpoenas, sex crimes and domestic violence cases.  Both state and federal law bestow very specific rights on victims and witnesses in criminal cases.  We can help explain how these rights might apply to a witness and her testimony.  We can also explain what information and reparations a victim/witness may be entitled to.  If the person does have to testify in court or appears in court as a witness or victim, we can help the person prepare, meet with the District Attorney or U.S. Attorney, or participate in proffers with the federal government.
